Customers tell us they've tried
a variety of ways to back up their pumps but they always fall back to requiring
a generator to handle their pumps. Battery backup may seem ideal for those
crucial first hours before the generator is up and running if the generator's
not of the automatic start type with an
automatic transfer switch. HOWEVER,
PUMPS CAN LOAD A SUBSTANTIAL DRAW UPON BATTERY BACKUP, unless the battery
backup is sized correctly the result may be a disaster, or at the very least
a significant inconvenience and insurance claim for cleanup. |
